Start The Oracle Database

As the oracle user issue these commands:

UNIX> sqlplus / as sysdba

SQL*Plus: Release 10.2.0.4.0 - Production on Wed Oct 20 10:07:24 2010

Connected to an idle instance.

SQL> startup
ORACLE instance started.

Stop The Oracle Database

Start The Oracle Listener

As the oracle user issue these commands:

Request The Oracle Listener Status
